Join for an exploration and discovery of the instruments that make up Heliand Consort! Listen, learn, and play along on the oboe, bassoon, and piano!
This workshop is a hands-on exploratory music education experience. The musicians will begin with an interactive series of songs/pieces that will introduce the students to chamber music and each instrument: piano, oboe, and bassoon. Students will be able to identify how each instrument works, how to produce a sound, and how each instrument fits into the chamber ensemble. Students will have an opportunity to try out each instrument in the later portion of this workshop, where the musicians will host a petting zoo!
THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE FOR ALL TO ATTEND.
Target Age Group: Students Grade 1 through 4, also open to the public with limited seating available.
